I Feel the Fit (Even If It Doesn’t Show Yet)

I Feel the Fit (Even If It Doesn’t Show Yet)

By Colleeno Chippy

I’m on Day 4 of exercising — and listen, something is happening to my body. A few days ago, I could barely walk up and down those steps. I was in pain — real pain. My legs were sore, my muscles tight, and everything inside of me was screaming, “Just rest today.” But something told me to keep going.

And I’m so glad I did.

Today, I woke up and the pain was gone. I felt light, refreshed, and strong. I didn’t just do the usual — I put in a little extra during my workout. And guess what? I didn’t even feel pain afterward. Not like yesterday. Not like the day before. I actually felt… good. Alive. Ready.

Something is shifting.

Even though my physical body doesn’t look different yet, I can feel the fit. I feel my muscles waking up. I feel stronger in my stance. I feel more energized. It’s like my body is catching up with the decision I made four days ago: to show up for myself. To commit. To move. To heal.

So what’s really happening?

The pain I felt before was my muscles being broken down so they could rebuild. It’s called DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). It’s the body’s way of saying, “Hey! We’re doing something new here!” But now, that soreness is fading. My body is adapting, realigning, responding.

My nervous system is responding too. Every time I step, stretch, climb, or squat, I’m sending signals to my brain — we’re back in motion. That’s muscle memory reactivating. That’s coordination sharpening. That’s confidence rising.

And let’s not forget the endorphins — the happy hormones. Yes, I’m sore sometimes. But I also feel happier, more focused, and surprisingly at peace. That’s not just a workout. That’s transformation in motion.

Let me tell you something real: The physical results are coming, yes. But the internal change? It already started. And it’s beautiful.

So if you’re just starting and wondering if it’s worth it — it is. Even if you don’t see it on the outside yet, trust what’s happening within. It’s working. You’re working. Stay with it.
