Don’t Put the Cart Before the Horse By Colleeno Chippy There is an old saying that goes: “Don’t put the cart before the horse.” And the older I get, the more I understand the wisdom in that phrase. Because sometimes in life, we become so focused on the outcome we want that we rush ahead of the process required to sustain it. We focus on the destination before building the foundation. The result before the structure. The cart before the horse. And honestly, many people do this without even realizing it. We become emotionally attached to an idea, a goal, a vision, and in our excitement or desperation to move forward, we start trying to build things out of order. Not because we are foolish. But because we want relief. We want movement. We want change.
