Learning to Fly

  Learning to Fly

By Colleeno Chippy

This morning I didn’t bounce out of bed with purpose. I actually got up early—then went back under the covers, thinking just a little more rest would help. But when I finally got up two hours later, I felt… off. Low. Like everything I’ve been working toward was moving in slow motion or not moving at all.

But something powerful happened. I turned on some uplifting music, got dressed anyway, and reminded myself: I’m not just living—I’m learning to fly.

There’s a version of myself I admire. She’s not perfect, but she shows up. She knows her worth. She gets up even when it’s hard, and even if no one’s cheering, she claps for herself. That’s the woman I’m becoming. That’s the woman I’m looking up to—and she’s me.

The Power of Showing Up

Every single time I get up early, there’s a fire. I feel inspired to write, create, dream bigger. But when I give in to discouragement or delay, the heaviness creeps in. It’s a reminder that discipline isn’t just about getting things done—it’s about protecting my energy and honoring my calling.

Even on the hard days, I have to get up and show up. Not because I feel like it—but because I’m becoming someone I respect.

Embracing the Becoming

Becoming the woman I look up to means facing the parts of myself I used to run from. It means not shrinking when I feel unseen or misunderstood. It means learning to trust myself again, after every detour, every letdown, every moment I thought I missed my chance.

It’s about forgiving the girl I was, loving the woman I am, and holding space for the queen I’m evolving into.

The Morning Mirror Moment

You know that moment when you catch your own reflection—hair wrapped, face bare, eyes tired—but something about you still glows? That’s not just survival. That’s resilience. That’s the quiet strength of a woman choosing to rise, again and again, even when no one’s watching.

And when I look in the mirror, I want to see someone I admire. Not just because of what she owns or where she’s going, but because of how she keeps showing up for herself, even in the in-between.

A Soft Life Doesn’t Mean a Lazy Life

Choosing ease is not the same as choosing comfort over growth. I still wake up early, still hustle for my dreams—but I do it from a place of peace, not pressure. That’s the beauty of the soft life. You can still want luxury and live with purpose. Still crave peace and push past limits.

The goal is not perfection. The goal is presence—being fully alive, fully honest, and fully aligned with who you’re becoming.

Speak Her into Existence

Some days I wake up already fighting thoughts like, “What’s the point?” But then I speak her name. The woman I’m becoming. I say, “She’s bold. She’s light. She’s consistent. She’s magnetic. She’s soft and strong.”

And something shifts. Because words create. So speak life. Over your mornings. Over your mindset. Over your business. Over your body. Over your goals. You’re not just dreaming—you’re designing.
