The Version of You You’re Becoming Needs This Season
The Version of You You’re Becoming Needs This Season
By Colleeno Chippy
Not every season is meant to feel comfortable. Some seasons stretch you.
They challenge what you thought you knew. They shift your routines, your expectations, even your understanding of yourself. They ask you to let go of what no longer fits and move toward something you cannot fully see yet.
And while that process can feel uncertain… it may also be necessary.
Because the version of you you’re becoming cannot always grow inside the life, mindset, or patterns you’ve outgrown.
That is why some seasons feel disruptive. Not because life is working against you— but because something within you is changing.
Growth often begins quietly.
A shift in awareness.
A deeper understanding.
A realization you can no longer ignore.
And once that shift happens, it becomes difficult to continue living the same way you once did.
You start noticing what drains you. What no longer aligns. What no longer feels true to who you are becoming.
That awareness can feel uncomfortable at first, because growth does not only add things.
Sometimes it removes them.
Old habits. Old attachments. Old ways of thinking. Old versions of yourself.
And letting go—even when necessary—is rarely easy.
But not every ending is destruction.
Some endings are transformation. Some discomfort is preparation. Some seasons arrive not to break you… but to rebuild you differently.
That is why it is important not to judge your current season too quickly.
Just because something feels unfamiliar does not mean it is wrong.
Just because things are shifting does not mean you are failing.
Sometimes life becomes uncertain because you are being repositioned.
Prepared. Refined.
There are lessons that only difficult seasons can teach.
Patience. Discernment. Self-awareness. Resilience. Faith.
And often, those lessons become part of the foundation for the next version of your life.
You may not fully understand this season while you are inside it.
That is normal.
Growth rarely makes complete sense in real time.
But one day you may look back and realize: the season you resisted the most…was the season that changed you the most.
So instead of asking,
“Why is this happening to me?”
Maybe ask:
“What is this season preparing me for?”
That question changes perspective.
Because now, you are no longer only focused on the discomfort.
You are paying attention to the becoming.
And becoming is a process. A gradual unfolding.
A quiet evolution into someone wiser, stronger, more aware, and more aligned.
So if this season feels heavy…
Trust that it may still hold purpose.
If things feel uncertain…
Trust that growth is still happening.
And if you feel different lately…
Maybe that’s because you are.
Maybe this season is not here to punish you.
Maybe it is here to introduce you to the version of yourself you have not fully met yet.
